Step back in time and explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt with the Tutankhamun (Tut) Roadshow!

Back by popular demand at the 2023 Australian Art Deco Festival in Leeton! This unique experience features three theatrettes that take visitors on an unforgettable journey through the history and significance of archaeology.

Starting in ‘The Code Room’, you’ll discover the contextual history of Tutankhamun’s father, Akhenaten, and meet the men behind the discovery of the Boy King’s tomb: Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. Move inside ‘The Tomb Room’ to explore the chamber of Tutankhamun’s tomb and its contents, including funerary objects and the ancient Egyptian concept of the afterlife. Finally, ‘The Scroll Room’ showcases the tools of archaeology and explores the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, featuring original ancient artefacts from the Roman Empire that are thousands of years old.

This all-ages exhibit is located alongside the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery and has FREE entry throughout the Festival.
