LEETON PaRKRUn
The Art Deco parkrun – where fitness meets vintage glamour!
Parkrun is a free community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. Parkrun is a 5km timed event and takes place every Saturday morning at locations worldwide.
As part of the Australian Art Deco Festival Leeton, you’re invited to embrace the spirit of the era by dressing up to suit the theme. Flapper dresses, dapper suits, fedora hats, geometric patterns, metallic colours… there’s an option to suit your level of Deco daring at your “daily constitutional”!
The course starts and finishes near the skate park at the Leeton Sport & Recreation Precinct on Palm Avenue and is a circuit that follows walkways surrounding the Leeton Ovals complex, the Leeton Regional Aquatic Centre and Mark Taylor Oval. All of the course is paved except for a circuit of the grassed cricket oval.
Parkrun is positive, welcoming, and inclusive, there is no time limit (only a record for yourself), and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along!
This is a FREE event but please REGISTER before you first come along. You only ever need to register with parkrun once and you can partake in events across the globe. Don’t forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder) – if you forget it, you won’t get a time.
